TREASURE WASHED ASHORE

I am always amazed at what treasures wash ashore and am always intrigued as to why. So many, many perfect things come accidentally my way and I can't help but wonder how they were cut adrift.

I suppose I shouldn't complain. :)

The pictured dish is a favorite piece of mine. The pattern and colors call to me and it feels as smooth as a new bar of homemade soap.

The bottom marking says: Janine Solop, though so perfectly done that I can't tell if it's a factory mark or handmade.

But I don't look too deep or research too hard. I figure treasure was meant to be enjoyed.

Have YOU a piece of treasure to share?

oh its lovely to find treasure. Our local community farm has a rabbit that's called Driftwood because he was found lost on a beach, now that's a treasure....

Wow that's beautiful treasure you've found. I've never had something as pretty as this accidentally wash up my way. My children seem particularly good at finding treasure in the park and at the beach though.

Beautiful! Generally my treasures are odds and other bizarre things found in the barnyard.
