RAINY DAY TREASURES

Just popping up a few more treasures that by fortune came my way.
The first is a marvelous old tea pot/cup set for which I paid $1.49
I absolutely love the flowers painted inside the tea cup.

Next is an antique tea strainer that was gifted to me by one of my favorite seniors when I was in my Mad Hatter phase and adorning myself with old tea-like things.

And lastly, gifted some years ago by the same favorite senior (who knows and appreciates my love of old things) is an antique wooden butter stamp.

We had happened to be making lavender shortbread with the embossed stoneware and she thought of this piece she had which was used to stamp the homemade butter.

I love that the Universe sees fit to send so many lovely things my way.

I promise, with my whole heart, to always look after them.

Some more treasures from that 80's $1 Sack!

VOL I

So, here we go! A few more looks from the $1 Sack of the '80s!

I noticed this morning there's a copy of JANE EYRE as well as Miss Charolette Bronte's VILLETTE. Many others that I haven't paid attention to in years. They have served to please my eye all this time and though I do recall perusing them at one point long ago I haven't given them the interest they deserve.

So let's begin with the beginning indexes to the German collection and see what we shall see.

VINTAGE FIND

Here's another recent cool find.
It was on the floor of a local thrift store.
The original protective case was covered in (egads!) contact paper but when I peeked....there she was! A beauty, eh? $9.
I adore thrifting! A good bargain is almost like pirating! ;)
