Vintage World

This photo called to me at a rogue estate sale this weekend.

$1

Wish I could share more visual detail with you all. Note the lady on the porch and the man with the Mad Hatter black hat and (possibly?) tattered tails holding the white horse.

The pic is age-fused to the mat so I will never know if it was dated.

Also, the pic is not that spectacular and yet someone thought to lovingly frame it.

 I long to know more..........

But nevertheless, that is the intrigue of treasure hunting and it shall have an honored place in my home.

Well avast me hearties and hello

Thanks for visiting DFTP and glad i returned the favour.

Old paintings and photos are fascinating aren't they - and at one dollar you can't really say no, can you?

We bought an interesting book some years ago based purely on the paintings inside - its in French, so i'll never be able to read it - but it looks like it would be interesting if i could :)

Oh I truly love these finds. My imagination goes wild putting a story to the family. I am glad I am not the only one that appreciates this. B

Hey, look at Pixies up there ahead of me! He is a favorite of mine, most definitely.

Re: the vintage photo. Bless your good eye for seeing the value beyond the price. This is a piece of someone's heart, let alone their life. The fine frame is touching and thank you for pointing that out. I think you are wonderful for giving it a place in your home.
